The first lockdown in France was implemented in mid-March 2020. Over the course of a year, restrictions such as curfews, mask mandates, and restaurant closures were imposed multiple times, drastically changing people's lives. Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2021-22 season, held from March 1st to 10th, was the first women's fashion show to be held entirely digitally. In addition, from late October 2020, a night-time curfew (from 6 PM to 6 AM the following morning) was imposed, restaurants and commercial facilities over 20,000 square meters (such as department stores) were closed, and wearing masks in public places was mandatory. Of course, with almost no international travelers this season and no physical shows, we weren't able to see the usual off-runway scenes...
Key words such as "protection" and "comfort" emerged in the collection, reflecting post-pandemic lifestyles and the feelings of the wearer. This change in fashion is already evident not only among those in the fashion industry, but also among local Parisians. In this issue of Paris Snap, we bring you real-life snaps of Parisians enjoying their weekend strolls around markets and vintage shops!
Sets and jumpsuits are often seen off-runway at Paris Fashion Week. Over the past few seasons, they've become especially popular as office wear, and were often seen on the streets. However, with the rise of teleworking and many Parisians continuing to work from home, they appear to be less common. So, she decided to switch to a "set-up" style of outfit, where the entire outfit is coordinated in a single tone, a look popular with students and working adults alike.
1. Tennessee Gareau (Student)

Tennessee showed off a casual school look, combining a single tone outfit of a white shirt, white knit, and white jeans with a vintage leather jacket and sneakers. In keeping with the genderless inclinations of Gen Z, she skillfully mixes men's items.
2. Alyssa Castinel (Student)

Alyssa enjoys weekend shopping in a comfortable-looking khaki outfit. "Comfort" is an essential trend this season at Paris Fashion Week, with many brands adding new ideas. It seems we'll see a lot of relaxed wear like hers this fall and winter. As a result of spending more time at home during the pandemic, "comfort" is becoming an essential requirement for clothing, a glimpse into the new normal.
3. Oabi Noa (Student)

Oabi's street style was a monochromatic black look, featuring a leather jacket, long, wide-leg pants, and platform boots. Her style, including her tidy hairstyle, was reminiscent of the casual attire of supermodel Bella Hadid, a huge hit among young people. On this sunny day, she wore a short, midriff-baring top underneath.
4. Justine Berger (Student)

Justine, who is studying law with the goal of becoming a lawyer, prefers a formal style. She paired a tailored jacket with bottoms of the same color, creating a mature look in muted gray tones. Add a touch of yellow to your look with a Hermès Kelly bag for a more sophisticated look!
