The first lockdown in France was implemented in mid-March 2020. Over the course of a year, restrictions such as curfews, mask mandates, and restaurant closures were imposed multiple times, drastically changing people's lives. Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2021-22 season, held from March 1st to 10th, was the first women's fashion show to be held entirely digitally. In addition, from late October 2020, a night-time curfew (from 6 PM to 6 AM the following morning) was imposed, restaurants and commercial facilities over 20,000 square meters (such as department stores) were closed, and wearing masks in public places was mandatory. Of course, with almost no international travelers this season and no physical shows, we weren't able to see the usual off-runway spectacle...
Key words like "protection" and "comfort" emerged in the collection, reflecting post-pandemic lifestyles and the feelings of the wearer. This shift in fashion is already evident not only among those in the fashion industry, but also among local Parisians. In this issue of Paris Snap, we bring you real-life snapshots of Parisians enjoying weekend markets and vintage shop tours!
A few seasons ago, micro mini bags carried like jewelry were all the rage. However, perhaps influenced by the increased need to carry items when going out, such as alcohol-based hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and spare masks, bags have shifted somewhat to more practical sizes, around B6 size. And it seems that Parisians are increasingly favoring shoulder bags, which leave both hands free. Check them out now.
1. Chloe Palliant (Fashion Designer)

Chloe, founder and designer of Parisian menswear brand Arbo, mixes vintage clothing and accessories for a 1960s-inspired look. She paired vintage Courrèges with two vintage scarves for a unique look. Courrèges, reborn this season under new creative director Nicolas Di Felice, is a highly acclaimed brand in France and sure to make a comeback!
2. Eva Coat (Actress)

Eva exudes masculinity yet sexiness in a men's coat and men's-inspired shoes. The key to this outfit is the yellow bag, which adds a pop of color to the muted tones. Wearing a short shoulder strap and securing the bag around your chest will also enhance your figure.
3. Agatha Laporte (Scientist)

White denim, seen in many snaps of last season's Paris Fashion Week, is a classic favorite that every Parisian woman owns. Simply pairing a minimalist, simple outfit with a men's body bag instantly creates a trendy look! Wearing men's items seems to be becoming a Parisian staple.
4. Marie Thibault (Student)

Marie, a student, exudes a London-inspired vibe in a two-tone trench coat and Dr. Martens boots. Her bag, with its eye-catching colorful shoulder strap, is from Valentino. Playing with color can transform a classic outfit into a stylish one.
