Pierre Hermé collaborates with Ohayo to release limited edition Ispahan yogurt

Sep 18, 2013

PIERRE HERME PARIS will release a new yogurt, "Pierre Herme Yogurt Ispahan," in collaboration with Ohayo Dairy, nationwide from October 8th.

This product recreates the taste of Pierre Herme Paris' signature dessert, "Ispahan," using yogurt. It has a smooth texture and melts in your mouth lightly. It has a subtle rose scent, the perfect sweetness of lychee, and the tartness of raspberry.

Ispahan was originally created as a cake combining rose, lychee, and raspberry cream on macaron dough, and has since been expanded to include ice cream, croissants, sorbet, and more in the same flavor. A total of 28 different sweets are currently available. On the 13th, a breakfast event was held, which also doubled as a presentation. In addition to the product, Pierre Hermé Paris croissants, Granola Ispahan, and macarons, which are not available in Japan, were also served. Pierre Hermé, who is currently visiting Japan, also gave a speech, saying, "I love yogurt myself and eat it every morning. It was my dream to collaborate with a company famous for its yogurt." The commercialization of this product has been in the planning stages for three years. Pierre Hermé Yogurt Ispahan will be available for three weeks from October 8th at convenience stores in eastern Japan, from October 15th at convenience stores in western Japan, and from October 22nd at mass retailers nationwide. It will cost 141 yen. The second collaboration, "Pierre Hermé Yogurt Satine," in orange and passion fruit flavors, is scheduled to be released around December.
