French luxury shoe brand Roger Vivier will open its first Tokyo store in Matsuya Ginza on the 14th. The 73-square-meter shop, decorated in pale pink, will stock almost the entire lineup, including the "Belle Vivier" shoe with the brand's iconic square buckle on the upper, the "Virgule" pumps with a comma-shaped curved heel, and the "Prismic" bag with a geometric pattern. Exclusive items will also be available at the store, including the "Belle Vivier" (¥168,000) and "Prismic" (¥525,000) in burgundy python leather. The interior design follows the maison's new boutique concept, featuring art objects scattered throughout, just like its Parisian stores. Roger Vivier was founded in 1937 by shoe designer Roger Vivier. After the death of its founder, the brand was revived in 2001 after joining the Tod's Group. In 2003, Bruno Frisoni was appointed creative director. In 2009, the brand debuted in Japan with a store at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store. Ines de la Fressange serves as the brand ambassador.
