
Alexander Wang has collaborated with Canadian artist The Weeknd's brand, XO, to launch a limited-edition capsule collection called "WANGXO."
The collection combines The Weeknd's lyrics with the XO logo to express the world of The Weeknd's second album, "Beauty Behind the Madness." The collection includes a WANGXO T-shirt (¥23,000), a "HOODY" hoodie (¥29,000), a "BANDANA" (¥7,000), and "EDEN HITOP SNEAKERS" high-top sneakers (¥88,000) featuring XO graphics.
This collaboration was inspired by a project where, after The Weeknd's headline performance at this year's Coachella Film Festival, Alexander Wang New York's Instagram account was hijacked to report on the event from The Weeknd's perspective. The hashtag used at that time, "#WANGXO," also became the name of the collection.
The Weeknd wore the same collection on stage during his arena tour "Madness," which began on November 3rd in Toronto, Canada, pairing it with a vest and trousers custom made by Alexander Wang.
WANGXO will go on sale at Alexander Wang's flagship store in New York on November 17th, and will also be available exclusively online at Alexander Wang from the 18th. In Japan, it will go on sale at DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA and the Alexander Wang Aoyama store from December 12th.
