Diners Club Italian Restaurant Week, an event featuring over 200 Italian restaurants nationwide, will be held from October 25th to November 9th.
This event offers special course menus at special prices. Even high-end restaurants that are usually avoided will offer specially priced menus, and even popular restaurants with overbooked tables will reserve one seat each day for the event. Diners Club members will also receive special benefits, such as a complimentary welcome drink.
This year's event theme is "Essenza," an Italian word meaning "essence," and it embodies the pursuit of authentic ingredients, exceptional chefs, and Italian wine. While placing importance on the perfect pairing of wine and food, the event also focuses on ingredients from DOP (Protected Designation of Origin). These are ingredients raised or grown in a specific region and processed according to established methods. At least one dish in the special course menu will feature a time-honored ingredient that carries on this tradition.
Reservations can be made by calling each store, or on the Diners Club official website or the special website "Ichikyu.com Restaurant." General reservations will be available from October 18th, with advance reservations for Diners Club members starting from October 11th. Prices are 2,000 yen or 5,000 yen for lunch, and 5,000 yen or 10,000 yen for dinner. The course consists of four dishes: antipasto, primo piatto, secondo piatto, and dolce, with the option of a wine pairing to complement the course.
Information about the restaurants taking part in the event is available on the Diners Club official website. You can also search by area and price.
