KEITA MARUYAMA, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will open a limited-time shop titled "KEITA MARUYAMA 20th Anniversary Museum 'Maruyama Landscape'" on Stage 1 on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from October 15th to October 21st.
The event will sell a variety of limited-edition products commemorating the brand's 20th anniversary. These include one-of-a-kind, handcrafted flower coats known as museum pieces and light stands made by doll makers. Also available will be items that showcase traditional Japanese beauty, such as "Edo Komon" scarves and papier-mâché dolls, as well as fashion and accessories from the brand's archives. Among these, the cashmere cardigans featuring archive embroidery patterns like the "chrysanthemum and peony," "circus," and "dragon" are not to be missed by KEITA MARUYAMA fans. Of course, there will also be a wide selection of items from this season's "BOY meets GIRL" collection. From camellia-embroidered knitwear to party dresses, you can enjoy the world of Keita Maruyama. The main visual decorating the event venue was created by creator Chie Morimoto. "I think wearing Keita's clothes is like wearing the scenery and the seasons," says Morimoto. By collaging prints from the brand's 20th anniversary, she has created a beautiful and dynamic piece. The venue will also sell museum merchandise, including Morimoto's 20th anniversary book "Maruyama Landscape" (15,000 yen) and photo books such as "SUPER KEITA MARUYAMA" (6,000 yen) by photographer Leslie Kee. During the event, the store will also host events linked to the entire building. Limited-edition products created in collaboration with each brand will be available on each floor. The food floor will feature bento boxes from Kyoto Shimogamo Saryo, dorayaki from Suzukake, and original Japanese sweets from Tsuruya Yoshinobu. The women's clothing floor will feature drinks from Bistro Cafe Ladies & Gentlemen, smoothies from Ready for the Weekend Bar with Sky High, and chairs from Lioyds Antiques on the living room floor. Keita Maruyama's wedding dresses will be on display at the "Isetan Bride" event. Keita Maruyama's romantic dresses, veils, and ring pillows, all decorated with violets, will be available for order during the event. Additionally, on October 19th, Maruyama will serve as "Store Manager for a Day," welcoming and seeing off shoppers. Tickets will be on sale at the stage on the first floor of the main building, allowing you to enjoy a rooftop lunch party with Keita Maruyama (starting at 12 noon on October 19th) and a tea party (starting at 2:30 pm on October 19th) (the lunch party and tea party may be canceled in the event of rain).
The store will also be holding a stamp rally throughout the store. Stamps will be set up at the stamp stations located in the Keita Maruyama merchandise display areas on each floor. If you collect a designated number of stamps, you will receive a novelty gift (limited to 100 people per day). It's first come, first served, so we recommend using weekends or your lunch break to enjoy the event while window shopping. As you collect more stamps, you're sure to become more immersed in the world of Keita Maruyama.
