
A pop-up store featuring items created in collaboration with photographer Mika Ninagawa and various fashion brands will open on December 4th in the TOKYO Kaihoku area on the second floor of Isetan Shinjuku. The store will run until the 17th.
The store will sell apparel, miscellaneous goods, stationery, 2014 diaries, badges, and more, all featuring original photographs featuring Ninagawa's signature flower motif. Participating brands include G.V.G.V., KEITA MARUYAMA, ANREALAGE, The Virgnia, Velnica, Fire-King, AVANTGARDE, BAROQUE JAPAN LIMITED, and QUOTATION. The fabric is provided by Komatsu Seiren, winner of this year's Grand Prize at the PV Awards, a textile competition held at the Paris fashion materials fair Premiere Vision (PV). The store will offer exclusive items including a G.V.G.V. dress, shoes, and backpack; a Keita Maruyama short trench coat; an Anrealage dress, skirt, and blouse; a The Virginia dress; and a Vernica skirt. A talk event will be held on the 7th from 5:00 PM, featuring fashion creative director Ayumi Gunji, to discuss Tokyo's current fashion scene, art, and culture. The first 20 people to purchase event merchandise worth 15,750 yen or more during the event period can participate. Additionally, the store will host its first solo exhibition of Ninagawa's work in the art gallery on the 5th floor of the main building from December 4th to 10th.
