Kate Spade Japan is opening a limited-time shop for its new brand, "KATE SPADE SATURDAY," on the first floor of Laforet Harajuku from February 23rd to March 3rd.
The shop is positioned as a countdown pop-up shop commemorating the brand's debut, ahead of the world's first Harajuku flagship store opening on March 2nd, and is the brand's first store in Japan. The shop, marked with the brand's color, yellow, will stock an early selection of apparel, bags, and miscellaneous goods.
Kate Spade Saturday will also take over the cafe "R/O-111" at Jingumae Crossing, hoisting countdown flags and promoting the brand within the area.
Kate Spade Saturday is a lifestyle brand debuting this spring from Kate Spade New York. Based on the concept of "Bringing the excitement of Saturdays to every day," the brand offers a wide range of products, from apparel and bags to miscellaneous goods such as iPhone cases and stationery.
Kate Spade Japan was established in 2009. In July of last year, it was announced that TSI Holdings would sell all of its 51% stake to US-based Kate Spade LLC, and the company is now a wholly owned subsidiary in the home country.
