On March 20th, matohu presented their 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection at Aoyama Spiral Hall. Designers Hiroyuki Horihata and Makiko Sekiguchi. This season's theme, "Ahai," explored the harmony of space and the relationship between time and space. The show began with four models appearing in a silent, misty venue. All four models wore herringbone tweed. The delicately layered tweed was sourced from a homespun fabric in Iwate, characterized by the softness and lightness that only a handmade product can offer. The collection featured reflective prints and a long coat featuring falling snowflakes woven with jacquard weave, a dress inspired by the mist depicted in Hasegawa Tōhaku's masterpiece, "Pine Forest Screen," and a jacket accented with purple tie-dye. The collection was described as leaning more elegantly than usual.

The eye-catching, pointed headpieces were created by AKIKO BAN, an artist living in the UK, who held a solo exhibition at the Omotesando store.

After the show, Horihata said, "Beauty lies in the subtle spaces between things, and between things and people, and I focused on how to make these look beautiful."
