Sunaokuwahara's 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter collection was held in a party format, inviting not only media representatives but also customers. Designer Nao Kuwahara. This was the second time the brand had attempted this, following its 2013 Spring/Summer collection in October last year. After the show, original catering was served at the venue, and an order-taking session for customized orders was also held. Approximately 100 customers, ranging from longtime fans to those in their 20s, were invited. Everyone came dressed in their favorite Sunaokuwahara outfits. "This event was started to provide a forum for communication with our customers. They seemed to enjoy the special feeling of being able to own their own unique items at this one-night-only event," said a press representative. For customized orders, customers could choose the fabric for the facings and hems of cardigans and dresses, and "many customers chose designs that were typical of Sunaokuwahara, such as floral patterns," the brand said. The brand also increases customer interaction through in-store order-taking sessions and other events. The theme of the new collection presented at the show was "collar." The collar is seen as the face of the clothing, and the collar design adds expression and mood to simple clothing. Another feature is the mix of feminine elements such as lace and embroidery with mannish designs such as traditional striped fabrics and shirts.
