On March 21st, TAE ASHIDA presented its second season 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection at the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel. The designer was Tae Ashida. The collection kicked off with three pieces, including a blouson and a dress made from bonded jersey. Each piece was adorned with ruffles, which were bonded to create a sense of volume. The first half of the collection featured a predominantly neutral color palette, with a succession of warm-feeling pieces. Many designs focused on the neck and shoulders, including a halter-neck knit with a three-dimensionally twisted rib at the front and a dress similarly draped like a sash. Other ingenious designs included a top resembling a wrapped stole, a shoulder yoke made from a different material, and a slit at the shoulder. The middle of the collection saw a gradation of green gradually blending with blue, transforming into purple. A sporty dress with curved lines in a green, blue, and purple color scheme was introduced, then the colors changed to a snakeskin pattern on satin, enhancing the luxurious atmosphere. Baroque patterns, fur, and velvet tops were also elegant.
The collection concluded with a cocktail dress featuring sculpted details such as knotted and tucked organza, followed by an evening style made of taffeta, velvet, and lavish lace.
