ANREALAGE's color-changing 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter collection, "COLOR," will be available for pre-sale from July 24th at The Stage #3 on the 3rd floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store. The collection will run until the 30th. The entire lineup, including clothing, bags, and jewelry, features photochromic dyes, whose molecular structure changes in response to sunlight. Photochromic dyes are used in UV detectors and color-changing sunglasses. When exposed to UV rays outdoors, the clothes appear colored, and when exposed to fluorescent lights indoors, they return to white. In-store, a special lighting installation will recreate the Tokyo Collection, allowing customers to experience the color changes up close. Designer Kunihiko Morinaga will also be in the store from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on the 27th for a demonstration. Morinaga, who visited on the 24th, said, "I hope you'll enjoy seeing the color-changing clothes for yourself in the store." Anrealage is currently holding an exhibition titled "A COLOR UN COLOR" at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. This exhibition is the second in the "Philosophical Fashion" series, which introduces creators who continue to propose fashion with a consistent concept, and presents the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection "COLOR," which was announced at the Tokyo Collection in March, in a transparent gallery.
