On March 22nd, Yukiko Hanai unveiled its 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection. Designer Sachiko Hanai, with the theme "Lou Lou's Decorative Table," was inspired by the free-spirited, high-quality, bourgeois lifestyle of Loulou de la Falaise, a former muse of Yves Saint Laurent, and her unconventional approach to fashion. "In today's world, where so many things and things coexist, I wanted to express the excitement that comes from the joy of dressing up," Hanai said. Simple designs in shades of green and blue were complemented by bold jewelry, creating a Parisian look. Luxurious designs, also trending this season, featured jeweled buttons and fur. Monochrome pieces included checks with black flowers adorned like dots and a piano key motif dress, as well as couture-inspired designs in beautiful colors, such as floral prints and coats with floral curves.
In addition, Yukiko Hanai is exhibiting collections from the 1980s at the "Hanai Sachiko Archive Exhibition - A Feminine and Elegant Worldview," which is being held at a special venue on the third floor of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store until March 26th. After the show, Hanai and models wearing the just-announced collection walked from the first to third floors of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, stopping by the shop and exhibition venue.
