On March 22nd, NOZOMI ISHIGURO haute couture presented its 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection at the National Stadium. Designer Nozomi Ishiguro's theme was "Good-for-nothing, bad-for-nothing, bad-for-nothing." The show began with background music featuring the sound of barking dogs. The brand's signature textiles, including knitwear, bonded checkered fabrics, and dot prints, were combined to create cute, stuffed animal faces, which were incorporated into the garments. Animal motifs were used in a variety of ways, with faces and paws appearing everywhere—on the front, around the shoulders, sleeves, and skirts. Additionally, printed cut-and-sew tops featured a collage of alphabets and animals. While seemingly cute, the intricate designs were also grotesque. Most looks lacked armholes, resembling straitjackets on the upper body. In terms of functionality, the collection lived up to its theme: "not clothing." The hem of the white gathered skirt was decorated with a print of a cat's face and a skeleton that looked like a child's doodles.
At the recent Tambourine show, he presented some spooky clothes, and in his haute couture collection he continued to present clothes that exuded a sense of unease.
