■What is Kyo Yasaka Pudding, a pudding specialty store that embodies the essence of the Yasaka area?
Kyoto is one of Japan's leading tourist destinations, and the Yasaka area in particular is now home to many women wearing colorful and cute kimonos. We wanted to open a sweets shop that matched the scenery and image of the Yasaka area, so we opened in 2019. Our most popular product, Kyo Yasaka Pudding, became a hit, selling approximately 50,000 units in one year.
■Our main target is women in their 20s. A playful spirit is expressed in various places within the store
We hope to bring smiles to our customers' faces, so we've added a playful spirit to our products and our store. We've hidden black beans in our matcha pudding and monkeys all over the store, and you'll find yourself smiling at all sorts of moments, taking photos as memories, and wanting to upload them to social media.
