A photo exhibition capturing the beauty of six women, "The Vision of the NEW WOMAN: Sparkling New Women Selected by Vogue Japan," will be held from April 9th to 24th at Lumine Zero, the event space on the fifth floor of NEWoMan, a commercial facility that opened as a new landmark in the New South area of Shinjuku Station.

The exhibition is a collaboration between Vogue Japan and NEWoMan. Inspired by NEWoMan's concepts of "Shining for Life" and "For All New Women Living in a New Era," the exhibition captures the beauty of six women that Vogue Japan considers to be "new women."

The photos were taken by Nicole Nodland, a female photographer favored by many celebrities. For this event, she traveled from her base in London to Japan and then to the United States, where she photographed the six women over a period of approximately two weeks. The six models for this exhibition are women who are never satisfied with the status quo and strive for further growth: professional figure skater Shizuka Arakawa, author Yoko Ogawa, sculptor Ayame Kikuchi, Kazue Saito of Kesennuma Saikichi Shoten, model and actress TAO, and former Takarazuka Revue top star and actress Reon Yuzuki. Photographs were taken in locations where each woman could shine best, including an ice skating rink, a theater, a production studio, and the sea off Kesennuma. The exhibition will not only feature each of their photographs, but also behind-the-scenes footage and interviews. A special website has also been launched in collaboration between Vogue Japan and NEWoMan. It will feature information about the exhibition, a guide to each NEWoMan floor, and event information.
