PROMOTION
Mar 9, 2016
Wakako Shuto is a fashion editor and writer. From her coats and shoes to her jewelry and nails, Shuto is as particular about her shopping and dining experiences as she is about her own style. She guided us through Ginza with her 7-year-old son, husband, and Chihuahua. This spring, why not head out to the perfect spots for dates, girls' nights, or spending time with the family?

SPOT1. Ginza Bar Del Sole 2Due

Ginza Bar Del Sole 2Due, located on Namiki-dori Street, serves authentic Italian cuisine and is easily recognizable for its terrace seating. Takeout drinks, sweets, and gelato are also available, making it the perfect spot to drop in while strolling around town. If you dine in the authentic Italian banco (standing bar) style, you can also enjoy great deals on food and drink. From a quick lunch to a luxurious dinner, or even just a quick break with an authentic espresso officially certified by the Italian association...the restaurant can be used for a variety of everyday occasions, which is why it has a high repeat customer rate. At the time of our visit, we tried the standard menu item, the weekday-only daily bar set lunch (1,050 yen including tax).

The half-size portion of this tomato sauce pasta is just right.
Includes a main dish, mini salad, and Italian antipasto, and unlimited refills of rice or bread.

01

Choose from meat or fish for your main dish. The fish dish I chose had a lovely, spring-like color scheme.

Comments: The garnishes were luxurious, and of course the flavor was outstanding. The price is reasonable for this quality!

SPOT 2. Ginza Numazu Port Sushi Bar

01

When you think of sushi in Ginza, you might be worried about the budget, but don't worry here. This is the only conveyor-belt sushi restaurant in Ginza, and it's kid-friendly, too! With a wide selection of sake and wine, this sushi restaurant offers a variety of dining options. Our recommendation is the three-piece platter featuring rich-flavored sea urchin, plump cherry shrimp, and a luxurious tuna. The fresh flavors will leave you speechless. A la carte dishes and rice bowls are also popular. The spacious booth seating allows for a relaxing stay.

For something a little different, try green onions. They have a crisp, refreshing taste.

(Comment) They have a wide selection of unusual toppings and drinks, which is really fresh. It's also nice to be able to drink sparkling wine at a sushi restaurant.

SPOT 3. Barneys New York Ginza Flagship Store

01

Of all the Barneys New York stores that Shuto frequents, his favorite is the Ginza flagship store. The exterior architecture is authentic, and the interior and product displays use the space luxuriously. Shuto says he's drawn not only to the products but also to the unique interior décor. Perhaps the unique store design itself is what lifts Shuto's spirits.

You can also try on clothes on a chic, high-quality sofa, which is a nice touch.

The pale pink lineup is said to help you create outfits in your mind.

Comments about Ginza:
When I was a child, my parents would take me to Ginza to go shopping. Perhaps because of that nostalgia, Ginza remains a special town to this day. It has a unique sense of exhilaration, making it a great place to enjoy both shopping and dining.
