Zurich Life Insurance Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as Zurich Life) will be holding "CAFE ZURICH "LIFE"," an event celebrating the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Switzerland, from November 7th to 20th at Café Coquille and Brasserie Paul Bocuse Musée at the National Art Center, Tokyo in Roppongi, Tokyo.

To mark the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Japan this year, the National Art Center, Tokyo is currently hosting the "Kunstmuseum Zurich - From Impressionism to Surrealism" exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the "Kunstmuseum Zurich Exhibition"), which brings together works by Monet, Chagall, Matisse, Picasso, and Miro from the Kunstmuseum Zurich. Zurich Life, a member of the Zurich Insurance Group with a close relationship with the Kunstmuseum Zurich, has planned this event to further enhance the exhibition and provide an opportunity to feel closer to Switzerland. Café Zurich Life, based on the concept of "A day of discovering Swiss art and cuisine at the National Art Center, Tokyo," offers a glimpse into the Swiss lifestyle. At Café Coquille on the first floor, guests can enjoy a cafe latte decorated with latte art inspired by Henri Rousseau's "Portrait of Mr. X (Pierre Loti)," garnished with Swiss chocolate. Two types of "Dreamy Sandwiches," inspired by Claude Monet's "Water Lily Pond, Dusk" and Pablo Picasso's "Large Nude," are also available, a style commonly enjoyed in Switzerland. Guests can also enjoy rare Swiss wines, such as Morges Rouge AOC and Morges Blanc AOC, produced in Morges on the shores of Lake Geneva. Only about 1% of Swiss wine is exported. At the Musée Paul Bocuse brasserie on the third floor, an exhibition menu inspired by Vincent van Gogh's "The White Cabin in Sainte-Marie" (available until December 15th) is being offered alongside a lineup of Swiss wines. The wines are a step above those available at the cafe on the first floor, and are available in limited quantities in both red and white. The selection includes the award-winning red wine "Emblem Merlot Gamaret AOC" and the yellow wine "Doral Uvavins." Also noteworthy are the placemats and coasters designed with works from the Kunsthaus Zurich exhibition. Video footage of the Swiss city of Zurich will also be screened during the event.
