On September 16th, the final day of London Fashion Week, various brands presented their SS15 women's collections.
SIMONE ROCHA's collection, which was unveiled in a church with live pipe organ music, was full of floral imagery. Flowers embroidered with bright red thread on nude tulle formed dresses and veils, and one dress covered entirely in three-dimensional red flowers had a Chinoiserie feel. The randomly curved hems and the feather trimmings on the shoes and bags resembled dandelion fluff. Simone Rocha SS15 Collection
Based on '90s grunge, MARQUES'ALMEIDA took a slight departure from the '90s this season, drawing inspiration from the esoteric poetry of British musician, poet, and artist PJ Harvey. Shiny black denim is paired with loose tops and slim pants with long cuffs, while long belts that hang below the knee are casually adorned with crystals. Denim dresses and skirts are layered with tulle for asymmetrical looks. Bright colours such as green, red, fuchsia and acid yellow were mixed and matched to create bias cut dresses and tops with plenty of gathers at the front. The brand has made denim its signature and has mainly produced denim items, but there are now more and more impactful pieces in non-denim items as well. The double carry bag with coin purse and key holder and small clutch also makes a big impact with its strong snakeskin pattern. Marques Almeida SS15 Collection
For the collaborative show "Fashion East," young designers were replaced by Ed Marler, who recently graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a BA in 2013. Helen Lawrence and Louise Alsop, both of whom were showing their second seasons, presented their collections. While focusing on knitwear, Helen Lawrence also combined different materials such as latex to create a contrast. Sweaters were made by cutting and re-stitching them. Louise Alsop showed sexy dresses with cutouts under the bust and around the waist, oversized tops layered with sheer material, and dresses with patterns that looked like they were made from collected lint. Ed Marler's collection featured a gothic feel, boldly using tapestry patterns and the Union Jack. He aimed for a "different image of vampires," but the collection ended up looking like a cosplay from a sci-fi anime.

Emilio de la Morena's collection featured a sexy corset top paired with a tight skirt with a long slit. He also used sequins and metallic materials extensively, adding to the glamorous and luxurious atmosphere. Emilio de la Morena SS15 Collection
When it comes to sequins, ASHISH is the name to go to. This season, they created rainbow-colored stripes, snakeskin patterns, and gingham checks, with human faces printed on them. Sparkling fringe extended from the edges of holes in distressed denim covered in sequins. The metallic hair extensions and large rhinestone jewelry worn by the models also created a glittery effect.
