A pop-up shop for Tokyo brand JUN OKAMOTO will open in the TOKYO Kaihoku (Liberation Zone) on the second floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku. In addition to items from the 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection, the shop will accept pattern orders based on the concept of "clothing that is tailored to the individual." The shop will express Okamoto's unique worldview through music, books, tableware, and other items selected by Okamoto. Items on display include CHEMEX coffee makers and Rayban folding sunglasses. On November 29, designer Jun Okamoto and musician Miu Sakamoto will hold a reading of stories from Jun Okamoto's 2014-15 Autumn/Winter lookbook, "LUCKY." Pattern orders will also be available in archive fabrics from brands like Plantica, DRESS CAMP, and ARCHI, as well as Jun Okamoto's own textiles (delivery takes three weeks). Archive fabrics from other brands take on a new look with Jun Okamoto's patterns. The buyer in charge of the project commented, "Each style of clothing that Okamoto makes has a name. When we wanted to offer our customers clothes that are not just fashionable but that they can wear carefully and are unique to them, we felt that his worldview would be a good fit. We want to propose a new kind of luxury that can be obtained by owning it."
