Fresh handmade cosmetics shop LUSH will hold its first outdoor event, LUSH LIFE PARK 2014, over two days, October 4th and 5th, at the Tokyo Midtown Lawn Square in Roppongi.
The event aims for a sustainable vision based on the concept of "For a LUSH (fresh, green, and hydrating) future in 2050." It is an eco-friendly event that runs on 100% natural energy and can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
Live performances on the "LUSH GREEN STAGE" will include Akko from My Little Lover on the 4th, Miu Sakamoto on the 5th, and LUSH SPA sound producer Simon Emmerson on both days. LUSH CHRISTMAS TREE HOUSE, designed by Takashi Kobayashi, Japan's leading treehouse expert, will be making an appearance, along with a pop-up shop offering limited-edition crafting experiences. LUSH LIFE WORLD offers LUSH spa and fragrance collection "Gorilla Perfume" experiences, as well as ethical workshops. Each day, 250 people will receive a limited-edition eco-bag and mug if they bring five empty LUSH product containers to the event venue. Each empty container will be gifted with an eco-bag. Collected containers will be recycled into LUSH products. LUSH encourages customers to bring their own original "Knot Wrap" wrapping cloths and eco-bags, and uses recycled or biodegradable materials whenever possible for product packaging and gift wrapping. LUSH promotes product development and sales with environmental impact in mind, such as shipping raw materials and products by sea rather than by plane, and using bicycles and public transportation for domestic staff transportation.
