NAKED, Inc. will be directing and producing a collaborative seasonal art project, "THE THOUSAND KYOTO x NAKED, INC. 'Fuka Setsugetsu'," on the grand staircase of THE THOUSAND KYOTO, a hotel in front of Kyoto Station, from November 28th to December 27th. Furthermore, the project will feature the flower arrangement school Ikenobo (hereinafter referred to as Ikenobo) as a collaborator on the ikebana piece "Fuka."

Under the theme of "tradition and innovation," NAKED has collaborated with various facilities and traditional cultures. Working with THE THOUSAND KYOTO, which disseminates culture from the heart of Japan's ancient capital, Kyoto, the two will present an installation art themed around "Fuka Setsugetsu," which evokes the beautiful natural scenery of Japan. The exhibition will be held at the Grand Staircase, a symbol of THE THOUSAND KYOTO and a new spot near Kyoto Station. Together with Ikenobo, we created "Kazahana," a work depicting snowflakes dancing in the wind. This masterpiece, spanning approximately 10 meters, is a stunning installation that combines Ikenobo's ikebana, featuring winter flowers and plants such as weeping mulberry and baby's breath, with NAKED's light and video effects. Anyone can enjoy the 360° experience. We will also be hosting an Ikenobo ikebana experience. On December 6th and 13th, we will be holding a special "Christmas Ikebana Arranging" experience. Furthermore, guests who stay at THE THOUSAND KYOTO during this period will receive a "FukaSetsutsuki" original "FLOWERS BY NAKED GIFT." "FLOWERS BY NAKED GIFT" is a message card that reveals a special experience when you hold your smartphone over it. You can take the fantastical experience of "Fuka Three Houses" home with you along with the aroma-scented card, and experience it as many times as you like at home.
*Information about events during the period will be posted on THE THOUSAND KYOTO's website from time to time.

ABOUT Ikenobo Flower Arrangement School

Originating from the Rokkakudo hall built by Prince Shotoku in 587, successive heads of the school have served as its chief priests. The school conveys the Japanese aesthetic sense derived from the spirituality of ikebana, such as "there is beauty in even withered flowers," "the aesthetics of subtraction," and "the beauty of white space." Changing its form with the times, it has become a part of people's daily lives and culture. Ikenobo ikebana has spread widely not only within Japan but also around the world. In recent years, he has continued to take on new challenges beyond promoting flower arranging, collaborating with various fields. Since 2018, he has been working with NAKED, INC. on "FLOWERS BY NAKED" at Nijo Castle in Kyoto.

Ikenobo Senko, Next Head of the Ikenobo School of Flower Arrangement
He will disseminate the future of Ikebana by unraveling its spirituality and theory, and presenting ways to live a richer life and a perspective that is relevant to the business world. He is also actively involved in collaborations with other fields, such as music and technology. He is a member of the Culture and Education Committee of the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and a director and senior advisor to the Association for the 2025 World Exposition, Japan.
