In 2023, marking 40 years since the brand first arrived in Japan, agnès b. opened a cafe and boutique in Kyoto's Gion district. Housed in a renovated townhouse in the ancient capital of Kyoto, the brand's new concept store will celebrate its second anniversary in April 2025, with a variety of events planned.

Cardigan Pression Exhibition and Sale
Agnès b.'s iconic Cardigan Pression, first released in 1979, is constantly evolving. Designer Agnès b. has enjoyed freely transforming the cardigan, from long cardigans and boleros to leather and high-neck designs. It is available for men, women, and children in a variety of colors, fabrics, and patterns such as polka dots and stripes. The agnès b. Gion store will bring together a colorful selection of cardigans for sale.

Exhibition and Sale of Artist T-Shirt Collection
Agnès b. is also known as a fan of various contemporary art forms, including photography and graffiti. Since opening her one-of-a-kind Parisian gallery, Galerie du Jour, in 1984, Agnès has supported emerging artists and collected works by a diverse range of artists. Her passion for art is evident in her artist T-shirt collection. In 1994, following advice from Cuban artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres, she created a simple white T-shirt bearing the words "Nobody owns me," which became a huge success. Since then, Agnès has invited both well-known and unknown artists from France and other countries to release T-shirts featuring their free-spirited works on a canvas-like white background. Artists who have participated include Gilbert & George, Jonas Mekas, and Harmony Korine, and each season, she offers artist T-shirts for men, women, and children. At the Gion store, she will exhibit and sell this season's new and past season's artist T-shirts.

Exhibition and Sale of Collection Archives
Agnès b. keeps items from the brand's founding collection in the 1970s next to newer collections in her closet, and these are treasured pieces she still wears today. Cherishing both the new and the old, the appeal of agnès b. lies in its timeless clothing. From April 25, 2025, the Gion store will be selling agnès b. collection archive items. The exhibition will create new value and new encounters through timeless styling mixed with new items.
Sale of T-shirts with Original Patches
Agnès b. Gion, Aoyama, and Shibuya stores will be selling limited quantities of T-shirts with original patches (10,450 yen including tax) from April 25th. Each patch is attached by hand, resulting in a one-of-a-kind design for each T-shirt.
In addition, the agnès b. Gion store cafe will begin selling crepes made with Agnès' favorite recipe. These crepes are characterized by their rich flavor, made with plenty of French flour and cultured butter, and are served wrapped in Agnès b. original paper.
