Lucaffe, a cafe and bar from Milan, has opened its first Japanese location at GEMS Ichigaya.
Lucaffe is beloved worldwide for its high-quality coffee. The founder personally travels around the world to source his beans, roasting them at low temperatures to preserve the beans' natural flavor.
Located on the first floor of GEMS Ichigaya, the store has a wide entrance so that anyone can drop in casually. The interior, inspired by an Italian bar, is based on the store's signature colors of black and red, and the staff uniforms are also in the same colors. An original mascot modeled after a Brazilian coffee farmer adds a pop of color to the space.
The menu is divided into four time slots: morning, lunch, cafe, and bar. Guests can enjoy fluffy Milanese pizza and tiramisu made with an original recipe. A salad bar is available during lunchtime, and a cake set is available during cafe time. The bar will offer menu items that go well with alcohol, such as roast beef and prosciutto. There will also be a lineup of products perfect for gifts, such as coffee beans, biscuits, and chocolates presented in tins featuring original characters. "Le Cafe is loved worldwide, but its format is truly diverse, with each store in each country being different. This Italian bar format is the first of its kind in the world, and we've put a lot of effort into creating an eye-catching menu and interior. We wanted our first store to be a street-level location so that office workers could drop in before work or on their way home, so we're very pleased to be able to open a store at GEMS Ichigaya. We plan to continue opening more stores, mainly in Tokyo, while monitoring trends," said a store representative.
