In America, muffins, cookies, and other items are called "Baked Goods." These are the flavors of American moms, also known as "American Baking." They are familiar sweets baked on a daily basis.

DEAN & DELUCA will be releasing a kit that allows you to enjoy "American Baking" at home. We also spoke to the product planning team about why DEAN & DELUCA created this type of kit.

"During the stay-at-home period this spring, I think many people were forced to think about their "daily lives," and in particular "food." Eating and cooking are not just about satisfying hunger; they are also enjoyable activities and events. As we developed and sold this product, we thought it would be a good opportunity to learn about someone's delicious recipes. (Product Development Team)"


What came to mind was "American Baking," a long-loved food in the city where DEAN & DELUCA was born. Its simplicity and everyday appeal made it the perfect fit for this idea. We wanted to create a kit that anyone could easily try, using only a minimum amount of materials.

The person who cooperated with us in this series is Mr. & Mrs. Michelle, who thoroughly enjoyed "Baked Goods" in New York and has been running "HUDSON MARKET," an American baking store in Azabu-Juban, Tokyo since 2012. This is Homare Otsubo, the owner and baker of "HUDSON MARKET BAKERS."

"Simple and delicious is the best. This time, I made the recipe as easy as possible. The ingredients are simple, but I used authentic ingredients. I also made cupcakes that can be made without any special tools like molds, and can be enjoyed by everyone without cutting them into pieces. I've kept the finishing touches fun, so I think it would be great to make them with your children," says Otsubo.
