This year's Mikimoto tree will be a "jewelry box" illuminated with LEDs. The lighting ceremony will be a first for participants.

MIKIMOTO will be displaying the "MIKIMOTO Jumbo Christmas Tree" in front of its Ginza flagship store (4-5-5 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) from November 16th to December 25th.
This year's illumination theme is "Jewelry Box." The tree features MIKIMOTO's original multicolored LED lights, which change color in 12 different colors, and a birthstone ring-shaped illumination at the base. The tree will be lit from 11:00 to 20:00 during the period, with music and light displays at the top of every hour.
The lighting ceremony will take place at 16:15 on November 16th. Four elementary school students, selected through a public contest, will light the tree in time with the countdown. At the same time, in conjunction with wristbands distributed to attendees in front of the tree, the tree's lights will spread throughout the Ginza area, a first for the event. There will also be a live Christmas song performance by the four-man chorus group "Jammin' Zeb."

This year marks the 36th Mikimoto Jumbo Tree, which has been in existence since 1976. The fir tree, which was transported with its roots still attached from Hokkaido, will be donated to a public facility near Tokyo after the exhibition ends.
