Meguro Interior Collection held. CLASKA main event with 43 furniture street stores participating.

Oct 30, 2013

Meguro Interior Collection 2013, a collaboration between 43 stores on Meguro Furniture Street and various other fields, will be held from November 1st to 4th.
The MISC (Meguro Interior Shops Community) event at Hotel Claska (1-3-18 Chuo-cho, Meguro-ku, Tokyo) will be the core of the event, connecting various fields such as eco, video, and food, with the aim of enhancing Meguro's brand as a furniture town. Events on the 8th floor of Claska include a talk show with interior shop owners (7 PM on the 1st), a fashion show (7 PM on the 2nd), and a live performance by the music trio Monjeu (8 PM on the 2nd). MISC stores will also hold architectural model displays and stamp rallies.
MISC was formed with the goal of revitalizing the local area, bringing together 34 interior shops, cafes, and restaurants, mainly along Meguro Street. It currently has approximately 43 member stores and is engaged in various initiatives to revitalize Meguro Street. The logo was designed by graphic designer Taku Satoh, using the character for "eye" (me) from Meguro (a connoisseur). As the name suggests, the mall is home to a wide variety of unique shops, from American furniture, mid-century Eames furniture, and British and French antique furniture to original select shops, cafes specializing in tea and cakes, and art galleries.
