Fashion model Maki Nishiyama was born on November 16, 1985, in Niigata Prefecture.
She was scouted in Ginza in 2004 and made her modeling debut. In May 2005, she became an exclusive model for the fashion magazine "CanCam" and appeared on the cover of the following month's issue. Around 2006, she began appearing more frequently on television, serving as the MC for a martial arts program and a regular on information variety shows. She left her exclusive CanCam position in 2009 and has since appeared in magazines such as "Sweet" and "Ginger."
She lists "design" as one of her hobbies, and in 2007 she launched her own wedding dress brand, "Bon Visage."
In April 2013, she announced her marriage to actor Taichi Yaotome. She gave birth to a baby girl on the 30th of last month.
