"L'atelier par Impossible," the first exhibition in Japan to use "INSTANT LAB," developed by IMPOSSIBLE, a manufacturer of vintage Polaroid film, will open on December 3rd. The exhibition showcases artists' studio photographs, both digital and analog, taken at various angles (6x7, panorama, 4x5, etc.), cropped to fit the instant film's field of view and transformed into giant, three-dimensional mosaic art pieces. The exhibition showcases a wide range of artists' private spaces, including photographs of Joseph Niepce, the founder of silver halide photography, photographed by Daido Moriyama, and Salvador Dali's studio where he spent his final years. "INSTANT LAB" is a device that uses light from an iPhone to expose and develop any image data stored on an iPhone onto instant film. It was developed with the desire to transform digital images into analog photographs.
