Masashi Sanai's photo exhibition "Dokuso" is currently being held. Introducing all of the collaboration photo books with Kazuyoshi Nakamura's album "Tai Ongaku"

Feb 27, 2013

Masafumi Sanai's photo exhibition "Dokuso" (Dokusou) has been running at Yoyogi Village since the 15th. It features all of the works from the photobook "Dokuso," released last July.
The photobook was released to coincide with the release of musician Kazuyoshi Nakamura's solo album "Tai Ongaku," which celebrated its 15th anniversary last year. The title "Dokuso" is a play on the original title of "Tai Ongaku," "Dokusou" (Dokyusou). Sanai continues to collaborate with Nakamura through CD jacket photography and art direction.
Masafumi Sanai won the Canon New Century Photography Award in 1995 and made his debut with the photobook "Ikiteiru" (Living) in 1997. His 2002 book "MAP," published through his own photography studio, won the 28th Kimura Ihei Photography Award. In addition to designing the CD jacket for the rock band Quruli, he has photographed many celebrities, including Miyazaki Aoi, Aoi Yu, Nagasawa Masami, Aibu Saki, and Abe Natsumi. His wide-ranging activities include forming a duo with singer-songwriter Kawamoto Makoto and publishing a collection of poetry.
