Adam Levine, lead singer of Maroon 5, is People magazine's "2013 Sexiest Man Alive"

Nov 28, 2013

People magazine's 2013 Sexiest Man Alive, a hot topic in the US every November, has announced its list once again. Following Bradley Cooper in 2011 and Channing Tatum in 2012, Adam Levine, a member of the rock band Maroon 5, was named. While George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Johnny Depp have all topped the list in the past, this is the first time a non-actor has been named since John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1988. Apparently, this is the first time a rocker has been chosen. His popularity was sparked by his appearance on the music competition show "Voice," which is said to surpass "American Idol." In addition to serving as a judge and coach on the show, he also hosts the long-running variety show "Saturday Night Live." Romances with A-list actresses and famous models are said to be a criterion for selection, but Levine announced his engagement to Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo in July of this year. He is also closely involved in fashion, having launched his own men's and women's fragrances in the near future, and has also launched a men's wear brand at Kmart.
