HIGASHIYA will be offering a limited-time "Fruit and Nut Domyoji-kan" (1,800 yen) from November 8th to late February 2017.

This time, the Domyoji-kan is made with a generous amount of fruits and nuts, the origins of confectionery. Chestnuts, walnuts, and millet, which have been eaten since ancient times as important sources of nutrition, are combined with goji berries and figs, representing the red and white of special occasions, dates, which represent strong vitality, black beans, which symbolize diligence and health, and pumpkin seeds, which represent good fortune and bring back good weather. The rich brown sugar enhances the rich sweetness of nature and the chewy texture of the Domyoji flour.
