Toraya Cafe is offering a limited-time Christmas menu. Available until December 25th, the "Christmas Parfait" (1,100 yen) features adorable red, white, and green Christmas colors and berries. The bottom of the glass is generously filled with caramel agar jelly, topped with gyuhi (rice cake), bean paste paste, berry ice cream, fruit, and caramelized almonds and sesame seeds. The Omotesando Hills store is offering a limited-edition parfait filled with milk kudzu jelly at the bottom, representing a White Christmas. Also available until December 25th is the "Nut and Fruit Cake with Honey Soy Milk Ice Cream" (900 yen, small portion only available at the Aoyama store: 750 yen), a baked treat made with white bean paste, nuts, and dried fruit. It's served with honey-pickled nuts, ice cream, and bean paste paste "white sesame and kinako." Also available from December 1st to January 15th, 2017 is the "Spice Kudzu Pudding" (900 yen, small portion only available at the Aoyama store: 650 yen), a milk tea-flavored pudding solidified with kudzu. It's made with a cardamom-based, fragrant spice syrup made with four types of spices, and is topped with biscuits, fresh cream, and bean paste paste. Also recommended for takeout is the "Nut and Fruit Cake" (regular: 2,400 yen, small: 400 yen), available until late December. The cake is made with a dough combining white bean paste and white miso, and is generously filled with apricots, raisins, and nuts. Also available until mid-January 2017 is the "An Paste (Yuzu)" (1,000 yen), which combines white bean paste made with a generous amount of white azuki beans with a puree made from whole domestic yuzu. This bean paste allows you to enjoy the texture of the yuzu peel and pulp, and can be enjoyed with dairy products such as yogurt and cream cheese, or with sour bread.
