On the fifth day of Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2026 S/S, which concluded last week, VIVIANO presented its latest collection at Shibuya Hikarie Hall. Known for its "flamboyant and colorful" style among Tokyo's women's brands, this season the brand deliberately chose an all-black and white look. This bold change in direction left a striking impression on the audience.

A new interpretation of "Neo Romanticism"
The theme was "Neo Romanticism." Designer Viviano Sue presented a romantic form that went beyond sweet decoration. The couture-like construction, the single stitch of embroidery, and the sway of the fabric all stand out in the tranquility of a stripped-down palette. Each and every element exudes a "quiet strength," leaving a deep impression on the viewer.

The essence of the collection
This season's inspiration was drawn from couture and vintage items from the 1920s to 1960s, as well as the sports styles of the 1970s. Lace-covered tailored jackets were fashioned into mini dresses, while lingerie was revealed through flowing tops reminiscent of negligees, creating a sensual look. Items featuring the "CIRCOLO 87" logo appeared midway through the show, showcasing a style where sportiness and classicism intersected. By freely combining elements from different eras, a new definition of romanticism emerged.

Designer's Journey and Brand Background
Viviano Sue grew up in China and the United States and graduated from Bunka Fashion Graduate University. He launched his own brand in 2014 and changed the name to "VIVIANO" from the Fall/Winter 2020 collection. In 2022, he won the TOKYO FASHION AWARD. The brand's philosophy of "Chaos in shimmer through the veil of order" is consistently present in this season's monochrome world.

Through "Neo Romanticism," VIVIANO depicts a new romance born from the blank space where the past and future, classic and modern, tranquility and dynamism intersect. With this collection, the brand has once again proven that it is in this space that the power of Tokyo fashion lies.
