On the third day of Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2026 S/S, which concluded last week, FETICO held a show at Yoyogi National Gymnasium No. 2 to commemorate the brand's fifth anniversary. The show, which was made possible through the Rakuten Group's "by R" project, was held in a tranquil white space reminiscent of an art museum. The tension and anticipation that permeated the entire venue accentuated the presence of FETICO, who are celebrating a special milestone.

Learning about "inner depth" from artists
This season, designer Emi Funayama has chosen German artist Rebecca Horn and French photographer Irina Ionesco as her muses. These two female artists, who create images that are like devices that extend the body and decadent yet sensual, share a commonality in strongly projecting their own inner selves into their work. Funayama has intertwined their attitudes with the theme "The Depth of Her," projecting the inner depth and complexity of women as a new form of femininity.

The image of woman narrated through silhouettes and materials
The collection was adorned with silhouettes that accentuate the female form and details inspired by lingerie. Utilizing techniques from Japanese production centers such as Kiryu jacquard, it achieved a balance of delicacy and strength. The color palette, based on black and beige with accents of vermilion, was decadent yet light, evoking an effect that seemed to visualize inner depth.

The brand's world expands in its 5th anniversary
The show saw the debut of the brand's first iconic bag, "Arch." Furthermore, new categories such as shoes, accessories, and swimwear were announced, further expanding the brand's world in a multifaceted way. Funayama commented, "We've created something that's not just cute, but stoic and unique. And yet beautiful," demonstrating his intention to take the identity he has built over the past five years to a new level.
