Yasutoshi Ezumi, designer of Yasutoshi Ezumi, was awarded the 6th DHL Designer Award. The award ceremony took place on March 21st after the brand's 2014-2015 Autumn/Winter collection. He received a commemorative plaque and a prize of 500,000 yen in overseas shipping. The award was given in recognition of the brand's unique brand concept, its high level of craftsmanship, and the fact that the brand has expanded to China and the United States, demonstrating its potential for further international success. "I'm truly happy. I want to share this joy with the people and staff who have been supporting me," said Ezumi. "As part of this season's campaign, DHL is covering shipping costs to overseas buyers, making it possible to ship items free of charge. Our products have been well-received in Europe, including Spain, so we hope to continue leveraging DHL to expand our global reach. I believe that overseas shows and exhibitions are one of the next steps." Also at the awards ceremony, it was announced that in conjunction with the DHL Designer Award, DHL and lMG will launch "DHL Exported," a new program to support young designers from around the world. This is the global version of the DHL Designer Award. Four designers will be selected from applicants from around the world and will be supported to participate in a fashion week runway show to be held in one of four cities: New York, London, Milan, or Tokyo. Applications can be made via the official website by April 2nd. If an overseas designer wishes to participate in Tokyo Fashion Week, they will be able to participate in the next 2015 Spring/Summer season.
