Yasutoshi Ezumi presented his Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The theme was "Square and Body." Designer Yasutoshi Ezumi was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man and Yves Klein's blue paintings and anatomical sculptures, and developed his creations around the keywords square and blue.
The first look was a dress in Yves Klein blue. The sides were made of a large grid fabric, creating a flowing peplum. The tights were also color-blocked in blue and black.
The entire collection was based on a square motif, with horizontal cuts at the gorge line, square shapes created by tucks, and drapes created from straight lines. The colors were kept minimal, with blue, black, white, and beige. The final look featured eight full-body outfits, including oversized robes. "I want the sense of squareness to be felt even more," said Ezumi.
