DIESEL further strengthens its product lineup that is considerate of people and the environment. Green Label based on sustainability strategy is launched.

Sep 29, 2020

DIESEL announces that starting with 2020 FALL/WINTER, it will further strengthen its product development that is considerate of people and the environment under its "FOR RESPONSIBLE LIVING" sustainability strategy.

The "FOR RESPONSIBLE LIVING" strategy, launched in January of this year, clearly states the actions DIESEL must take to continue succeeding for today and future generations in an ever-changing world. The strategy is based on four pillars and responsibilities: "Be The Alternative," "Stand For The Planet," "Celebrate Individuality," and "Promote Integrity." DIESEL's sustainability strategy began with the release of "RESPECTFUL DENIM" in Spring/Summer 2020. This sustainable denim incorporates the brand's DNA while being produced with environmental considerations through innovative techniques. For Fall/Winter 2020, "RESPECTFUL DENIM with DIESEL DNA" introduces five denim styles produced to the highest environmental standards. While maintaining the same look as DIESEL's iconic vintage-wash premium denim, these denim styles utilize innovative techniques that significantly reduce the use of water and chemicals in the manufacturing process. All items are Green Screen certified, using minimal chemicals, and water usage is reduced by up to 40% compared to conventional methods. This season, men's and women's T-shirts and men's sweatshirts are also available. Crafted from a hybrid of organic cotton and recycled polyester, these denim styles feature a graphic that reconstructs the DIESEL "D" logo into a recycling symbol. The men's lineup also includes a flannel shirt made entirely from organic cotton grown without synthetic chemicals or genetically modified seeds, as well as a double-breasted coat in both short and long lengths made from 75% recycled wool. The recycled wool is sourced from Prato, Italy, a region renowned for its regenerated fibers. Items developed under the "FOR RESPONSIBLE LIVING" sustainability strategy will feature a special green label. DIESEL is strengthening its responsible efforts to minimize its environmental impact and will further promote proactive practices for the 2021 SPRING/SUMMER collection.

About DIESEL
