Isetan Mitsukoshi will be re-opening its "NIPPONISTA" pop-up shop, which opened in New York in February of this year, for a limited time from April 1st to April 15th at the West Park/Luxury Stage on the 4th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.
Since 2011, Isetan Mitsukoshi has been running the "JAPAN SENSES" campaign as a project to introduce Japan's quality products and people to the world and support its expansion overseas. This initiative was selected as one of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Cool Japan Strategy Promotion Projects, and the "NIPPONISTA" pop-up store opened in New York during New York Fashion Week in February.
To introduce this initiative to domestic customers, the shop will be re-opening the shop in conjunction with the Japan Senses campaign, which starts on April 1st. The lineup will be re-edited based on the "JAPAN LUXURY" concept, focusing on products that were popular in New York. The store will express the world of "Cool Japan" proposed by the select shop.
Maison des perles, run by embroidery artist Kobayashi Moko, will sell original pins based on Nipponista's main visual. SOMARTA, run by Hirokawa Tamae, will exhibit bodysuits and art chairs.
Other exhibitors will include fashion brands KANSAI YAMAMOTO and JOJO, accessory brands SIRISIRI and SHIHARA, Edo Kiriko Horiguchi Kiriko, casting company Nousaku, art design companies OGATA and Daisy Balloon, sculpture by Kanzaki Yasushi, and lighting designer Sachie Muramatsu.
