Isetan Mitsukoshi has released an original mother's backpack that incorporates customer requests.

In response to mothers' requests for a more stylish and user-friendly backpack, Isetan Mitsukoshi and the Japanese bag brand "selvedge." began development in collaboration. The original backpack features a zippered two-tier design, allowing for separate storage, with wet items like diapers and towels stored on the bottom tier. Opening the zipper transforms the backpack into a single-tier design, allowing for larger items like towels. The padded shoulder straps are soft and thick, providing a comfortable fit. A zipper on the back allows for easy access without removing items from the backpack.

In addition to the basic navy color, the brand also offers collaborative designs with four Japanese creators. The designs include popular ceramic and fabric designer Mutsumi Kagoshima, Chika Higashi, SUNUI (plain stitching), and Mizushima. Each item is priced at ¥29,400. Available at the bag corner on the first floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku.
