Moynat launches third pop-up store, featuring bicycle picnic trunks and new bags

Mar 5, 2014

MOYNAT has opened its third pop-up store, "Le Moynat Trunk Show," at the West Park/Luxury Stage on the fourth floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store. The show runs until the 25th.

The store will be showcasing the latest creation by artistic director Ramesh Nair, the "Régienne Clutch," for the first time in Japan. The design is an adaptation of the iconic "Régienne" bag, allowing for multiple styles. By tucking the shoulder strap into the uniquely curved shape, it can also be used as a clutch. Available in three colors in Japan: black, taupe, and raspberry.

In addition, the "Bicycle Trunk," replacing the Macaron Trunk that was the centerpiece of the past two pop-up stores, will be making its Japanese debut. Inspired by the English countryside, the Bicycle Trunk features the brand's patented two-lever lock and the brand's unique waterproof canvas fabric, first introduced in 1854. The bag features the brand's signature Art Deco-style initial pattern, reinforced corners with leather, and 450 nails hammered into it at 7.5mm intervals.
