Moynat, the bag brand known as France's oldest trunk manufacturer, has opened a pop-up store, "LE MOYNAT TRUNK SHOW," on the fourth floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store. It will run until January 30th. The second pop-up store, which opened last November for a limited period of one month, received better-than-expected popularity, leading to the decision to hold a second one. The first pop-up store attracted fans who had previously purchased from the Paris flagship store, as well as discerning customers who had been following the brand since before it arrived in Japan, and recorded sales nearly equal to a month's worth of sales at the Paris flagship store. Small handbags from the "Régienne" and "Pauline" brands are especially popular among women, with many choosing basic colors like navy and taupe. For men, the large black monogram tote bag is popular.
Once again, handbags will be displayed at the venue to resemble sweets, and the one-of-a-kind "Macaron Trunk" made to hold PIERRE HERME PARIS macarons will also be on display. The space was coordinated by interior designer Gwenael Nicolas, who has worked on the LOUIS VUITTON Ginza Namiki Dori store, among other things. The design is inspired by the "Precious Atelier" flagship store in Saint-Notre, Paris.
The third pop-up store will also be held at the store from March 5th to 25th.
