Dominique Ansel Bakery offers summer-only sweets such as "Amazake" soft serve ice cream and tropical fruit tarts

Pastry shop DOMINIQUE ANSEL BAKERY TOKYO offers two summer-only soft serve ice creams, as well as a variety of new seasonal sweets made with luxurious seasonal fruits like mango, peach, and pineapple. Available until September 30th, the two summer-only soft serve ice creams, "Amazake Soft Serve with Fresh Ginger and Japanese Pepper Leaf" (694 yen), are chilled amazake (sweet sake) topped with grated fresh ginger and refreshing Japanese pepper leaves, expressing the freshness of summer. The "Caramel Sweet Corn Soft Serve with Corn Jam" (694 yen) uses fresh sweet corn. The kernels, as well as the core, where the flavor is concentrated, are carefully boiled to maximize the corn's natural flavor. The addition of caramel creates a smooth, rich, and fragrant soft serve ice cream.

Also, new summer menu items include the floral-motif "Mango Passion Fruit Blossom" (680 yen), made with sweet, melt-in-your-mouth mango, and the "Summer Peach Grapefruit Tart" (660 yen), made with two types of grapefruit, pink and white, and peach, which has a sweet, mellow aroma. Also available are the "Pineapple Banana Chocolate Tart" (680 yen), which features the gentle taste of milk chocolate hidden inside and the gorgeous aroma of banana and rum, and the "Cherry Tiramisu" (680 yen), which uses plenty of fresh cherries and adds a fragrant touch of black sesame.

New menu items have also been added to the lineup at PETIT PARK Cafe on the second floor. The "Mushroom and Spinach Vegetable Lasagna" (1,200 yen) is a vegetable lasagna made with plenty of spinach, mushrooms, and ricotta cheese wrapped in lasagna, topped with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, and baked. The "Fresh Fruit Waffle" (1,200 yen) is topped with plenty of cream, fresh cherries, and a sweet and sour cherry coulis. Other dishes on offer include the "Tomato and Burrata Cheese Open Sandwich" (1,400 yen), which is gorgeously presented with basil and several types of tomatoes like a fruit tart, and the "Tomato and Watermelon Gazpacho" (900 yen), garnished with roughly chopped cucumber, peppers, onions, and croutons.
