The "2016 Midsummer Parfait Fair" will be held at the Salon de Cafe at Shiseido Parlour Ginza Main Store. The first fair will run from July 1st to 31st, and the second from August 2nd to 31st.
This fair will feature six parfaits, three for each period, featuring carefully selected fruits from various regions and in season. Each parfait is filled to the brim with fruit jelly and fruit compote, ensuring that the flavor is enjoyed to the last drop. The first parfait will feature three flavors: the "Arakawa Peach Parfait" (¥2,160 including tax), made with Arakawa Peaches, a brand of peach from Wakayama Prefecture that's hard to find in Tokyo; the "Apple Mango Parfait" (¥2,580 including tax), featuring apple mango from Okinawa Prefecture, milk ice cream, and berry sauce; and the "Blueberry Parfait" (¥1,890 including tax), featuring large blueberries from Gifu Prefecture.
In addition, to commemorate the 15th (strawberry) anniversary of the Tokyo Ginza Shiseido Building, they will also be offering the "Koihime Strawberry Parfait" (1,890 yen including tax), which uses "Koihime" summer strawberries harvested in a greenhouse exclusively for Shiseido Parlour owned by Shinshu Hatakobo. The second installment, to be held in August, will feature parfaits using golden and white peaches, ripe Keitt mangoes from Okinawa, and figs from Wakayama.
