Parco Museum, a hub for art and culture, relocated from Shibuya to the 7th floor of the Ikebukuro Parco Main Building on September 1st. To mark its grand opening, the museum will host a large-scale solo exhibition, "Moyoco Anno Exhibition: 'STRIP!' PORTFOLIO 1996-2016," showcasing the masterpieces of manga artist Moyoco Anno, from September 1st to 26th. Parco Museum, originally known as "Space Part 3" and coinciding with the opening of Shibuya Parco Part 3 in 1981, has continued to capture the spirit of the times and embark on new initiatives, changing its name from "Parco Gallery" to "Parco Factory" to "Parco Museum." Following the temporary closure of Shibuya Parco (Part 1 and Part 3) on August 7th, the museum will relocate to Ikebukuro Parco. While maintaining its original functions, the museum will continue to host a diverse range of projects, encompassing art, design, culture, and fashion. The opening act will be Anno Moyoco, a manga artist known for works such as "Working Man," "Sakuran," "Happy Mania," "Sugar Sugar Rune," and "Ochibisan." Cover art and famous scenes from her representative works spanning over 20 years will be on display. At the same time, an art book will be released, and new works drawn specifically for the book will be on display for the first time. In addition, the manuscript for the second part of "Sakuran," which has been referred to as a "phantom" among fans because it has never been published in book form, will also be on display. The simultaneously published art book will be available for pre-sale at the exhibition venue.
