Summer is finally here! With so many plans coming up this season, you can't enjoy it without staying healthy and in tip-top condition. As we start wearing lighter clothing, you'll want to be mindful of your figure, and avoid getting sick from heat-related fatigue...
So, to get some tips on how to prepare for summer, FASHION HEADLINE visited FLUX CONDITIONINGS (hereafter referred to as FLUX), an integrated training solution that just opened last year in Daikanyama, and learned how to beautify your body both inside and out.
■ Body shaping in a flowing water pool produced by an Olympic medalist
A dip in cool water will refresh your mind! A pool is especially recommended for the hot summer. You burn 1.6 to 1.8 times more calories in the water than on land, and it also has a great shaping effect. AQUALAB, a swim training facility in FLUX, was produced by Olympic gold medalist and professional swimmer Kosuke Kitajima. It is a small, flowing water pool measuring 2 x 4 meters and 1.2 meters deep, and is open to anyone, not just athletes, for various purposes. This pool is a members-only facility, and the showers and changing rooms are all private, so you can enjoy swimming and walking without worrying about being seen by others. It's perfect for visiting alone, with friends, or with your spouse.

"Even just standing in a flowing water pool helps promote blood flow, so it's recommended for people who are concerned about swelling from desk work. Many people also use it to get in shape, and some people start out by just walking, but once they get used to it, they try swimming. Exercising in water is also very effective for getting in shape, so I encourage everyone to give it a try," says instructor Saito.
By toning and flexing your body in the pool, you can create a healthy look that shows off your skin in the summer.
■ Try a personal training menu guided by logical counseling
Typically, when people go to the gym, they often don't know how to use the training machines, or they go through a set menu but don't quite understand what kind of effect it has, or they end up giving up without seeing much effect.
At FLUX, based on our unique concept of "CONDITIONIX," they will prepare the perfect program for each individual, including a custom-made personal menu based on a program called "SOAP" that assesses their current condition.

"The functional training proposed by FLUX not only uses training machines for vertical and horizontal movements, but also incorporates the functional movement of rotation, which increases the effectiveness of the training. Many female users aim to lift their hips, so we propose body shaping that works on parts that machines alone cannot address. We create personal menus after carefully setting up basic physical strength, range of motion, cardiopulmonary function, etc., so we think that visitors can start their training with confidence," says General Manager Yumoto.
■ Maintain your body after exercise with the popular hydrogen
Relax your tired body after training at our facility. In our treatment room, which is in partnership with Tsuji Clinic, we offer treatments that utilize hydrogen's ability to remove free radicals. Free radicals tend to accumulate during intense exercise, and if they increase too much, they can cause aging and lead to illness. Here, you can care for your body both inside and out with hydrogen supplements to drink and hydrogen cream to rub directly onto the skin. Visitors are also welcome, and we recommend stopping by to relieve daily fatigue.
