"Minor," an exhibition by Mashiko ceramic artist Endo Taro, will be held at EATME GALLERY in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, from July 29th to August 5th.
By adding modern design to the Mashiko ware spirit of "pottery as everyday items," Endo Taro is a ceramic artist who has created works with a mysterious charm that combine familiarity with just the right amount of tension. This exhibition will feature new Mashiko ware "Minoru," created based on two themes: the idea of "beauty of utility," which states that pottery is beautiful because it is used daily, and "functional beauty," which means that pottery is easy for small children to use and can continue to be used by adults. Many of Endo Taro's standard products will also be on display and for sale.
