H&M's Kansai flagship store, H&M Shinsaibashi, will open on April 13th. The five-story building, spanning from the basement to the fourth floor, will feature Osaka's first comprehensive children's line, offering sizes up to 170cm. The store will also feature a larger selection of lingerie and maternity clothing.
At a preview held on the 11th, Christine Edman, president of H&M Japan, announced various new initiatives. First, a high-performance sports line for men, women, and children will be released next spring. However, many details remain undecided at this point, so further details will be announced in the future. Additionally, the "Paris Collection Line," which debuted at the Paris Collection in February of this year, will be available for purchase at select stores starting September 5th. The exact locations are yet to be determined.
It was announced that H&M Group brands Monki and Weekday will open on June 1st in the space vacated by the nearby Ebisubashi 2nd Store, which closed following the opening of the Shinsaibashi store. This marks the first time Monki has arrived in Japan, and Weekday's arrival in Asia.

In addition to the Shinsaibashi store, H&M will open stores in the Kansai region in April, with the Kobe Harborland Umie store on the 18th and the Umeda store on the 19th. The company also announced that it will open a Hiroshima store in the fall, its first store in the Chugoku region. Regarding future store opening plans, President Edman said, "We would like to open stores in major cities across the country. However, there are limits to how many stores we can open in urban areas, so we will expand our presence in suburban shopping centers." He also hinted at the possibility of opening new stores in train station buildings and airports, "with small and medium-sized stores that only carry specific lines such as men's, women's, and miscellaneous goods."
