To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Chloé's founding, the brand has kicked off an event called "60 Years of Chloé," looking back on the brand's history. The event runs until April 23rd at The Stage on the first floor of Isetan Shinjuku. The opening ceremony, celebrating the brand's launch, featured Creative Director Clare Waight Keller and Chloé President and CEO Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, who had traveled to Japan from France. Actress Atsuko Maeda also appeared as a guest and cut the ribbon. Maeda commented, "Chloé is a brand that women aspire to. I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to meet Claire." When asked about the secret to shining brightly as a woman, Claire advised, "The key is subtle elegance." The event will feature the "Chloé Anniversary Edition," a pre-release of 16 reissues of Chloé's archive pieces. These pieces were designed by brand founder Gaby Aghion, current Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, and current Celine designer Phoebe Philo. Additionally, there will be a special one-of-a-kind Paddington bag (priced at ¥3,442,950), which sold out immediately upon its release, and a colorway of the "Alice" bag by creative director Clare Waight Keller exclusive to the Isetan Shinjuku store. The venue will also recreate the image of Chloé's "Chloé Attitude" exhibition held in Paris last year. The interior design was created by curator Judith Clark. The Chloe Anniversary Edition will also be available at Chloe stores in Aoyama, Nagoya, and Hankyu Umeda Main Store on April 24th.
